My name is Jacob Lang, and I am an experienced journalist and storyteller. I'm currently pursuing my next opportunity in the Nashville, TN area. With previous stops at KRCG 13 in Columbia/Jefferson City, MO and News-Press NOW in St. Joseph, MO, I've worked in traditional and converged newsrooms, producing content for broadcast, print and digital. I take pride in my storytelling ability, production skills and knowledge built from experience in the sports field.
MY STORY
I'm a 2020 graduate of the Missouri School of Journalism. Before attending Mizzou, I grew up in Paducah, Kentucky. Coming from a small town, I've learned to appreciate covering high school sports just as much as college and professional sports. In my time in journalism, I've covered SEC athletics at Mizzou, high-level Division II sports at Missouri Western and Northwest Missouri State, Kansas City Chiefs training camp, an AFC Divisional playoff game and numerous Missouri State Championships.

What I love the most about anchoring a sportscast is letting my personality shine through the screen. I like to keep things loose, and I like challenging myself to make my sportscasts different from everything you see in local news. Whether it be engaging social media or analyzing a big play, I strive to energize my sportscasts every night. When it comes to reporting, telling stories that are not widely told is what drives me as a journalist. No matter the size of the stage athletes perform on, everyone has a story that deserves to be told.
